For the third year Point Art Monaco is hosting an event which will be a meeting place for some of Europe’s finest art galleries to exhibit many examples of the world’s finest artworks.
Participating in Salon Point Art Monaco are both permanent members of the Point Art, as well as many exhibitors who are only joining this year. Among the permanent members are the Gallery Adriano Ribolzi, Maison D’Art and Mc Fine Arts. Included in the one-time exhibitors are Phoenix Ancient Art, Robert Zehil Gallery, Dario Ghio as well as many others.
The large number of galleries allow for a huge variety of art types, from antique, to modern and everything in between. For instance, Phoenix Ancient Art will be exhibiting a small bust of hammered gold from the 4th century A.D., which is most likely an effigy of the Emperor Licinius. Also on display from Phoenix Ancient Art is a magnificent jewelry set made up of necklace and ring from the late 2nd to 1st century, made from gold and garnet in the Greek Hellenistic style.
Jump a few millennia to the 19th century and gaze upon a wonderful oil painting by Jean Peske presented by the Mc Fine Arts Gallery of Monte Carlo, Landscape of St. Claire. Abstract art is represented. Just one of many examples is from artist Serge Poliakoff, exhibited by another one of the permanent members of Point Art Monaco, M.F. Toninelli Art Moderne.
These examples are only the merest hint of the wealth of artwork which will be exhibited from August 1-5, 2013 at the Sporting d’Hiver, Place du Casino, 98000 Monaco. The show will be open to the public from 11:00 until 20:00 each day.
